Sounds like you're getting quite serious about your Japanese studies. Keep at it while you've got the spark.

I hope I get the spark back soon.

Cheers!

My relationship with Japanese culture and language is going on 10 years, but I'm still not literate or fluent. I learn a bit more every year.

My grandmother, who speaks 6 languages fluently, and is literate in four of them, is forever my inspiration. She always says Canada is her last country, and English her last language :)

I've just bought a good one that might interest you- Read Real Japanese Essays (with CD). I think there's a short story one as well.

Thanks for those links! I really understand how you feel about Japanese, I go through the same thing everyday, and only dream of total fluency. I am working at it though. I read a fair amount online, where I can rely on peraperakun to read some of the harder kanji for me. If you don't already use peraperakun, I highly recommend downloading it! Good luck!

Japanese words

The more you read the better your Japanese ill get and the easier it gets. When choosing a book, try to choose something that you have an interest in. That will help a lot in motivating you to keep going.
